I knit this hat in fine cone yarn that I used to make two pair of socks on size 1 needles. I used size 3 needles with 156 stitches around. Construction is much the same as for the gray hat. It is rather plain, but feels lighter and warmer on than the Lamb's Pride hats in heavier yarn. It weighs less than 3 ounces.
Working with larger needles was a bit difficult as the stitches tended to slip off. The stitches, especially the paired decreases to close the top, looked very untidy until I washed and blocked the hat.
I photographed the hat on February 16, 2005, about a week after I finished it.
