Yesterday was lovely, rather frosty in the morning but clear most of the day and temperatures got above 50° F. In the morning I spent some time on the computer but took care of some errands just to get outdoors. Bode now has a dog license!
In the afternoon I visited the neighbors, getting the Montgomery Underground Winery website together. Coming back from there I took some pictures of the crocus flowers in Merle and Clara’s yard by the mailboxes. It was worth waiting until the sun was low in the sky.
Today we went shopping. First stop was the drug store in Shelocta to pick up mother’s prescriptions. We went on into Indiana where I got a 25 lb. sack of black sunflower seeds for the birds plus some seeds to start indoors at the feed store. Next stop was the grocery store. Father needed to exchange a part for his sander, so we stopped at Sears where I was happy to find they still had a few thermal underwear tops available. All but one of the ones I had were getting shabby on the shoulders where Ling Ling perches.
Today the temperatures are about the same as yesterday but without the sunshine, it feels colder and I seem to have a lower energy level.
The robin is still fluttering against windows. Bode is so concerned, has even left his kibble to check it out.
Last night I finished the navy blue turtleneck sweater. Still need to wash and block it. Well, really more like scour it because there is quite a bit of spinning oil in the yarn. Both this sweater and the midnight blue one I anticipate will be difficult to photograph because they are so dark. Had thought of doing a sweater blog but decided none of the stitches would show.
