Yesterday I added links to columns by Molly Ivins and Will Durst to the Blogroll here. Part of what I do to try to deal with chronic illness and the associated pain is to try to figure out why I get headaches with the thought to try to prevent them.
Remember the old science fiction tales where the evil computer or robot was brought down by feeding it contradictory information?
I was thinking that may be what is going on in my head. Dealing with absurdities, outright contradictions, and, lets say the word, propaganda and outrage that people expect you to believe such nonsense is making my mind turn in wasteful cycles/circles.
So, the remedy is to read plenty of political satire to clear your head. Laugh if you can too.
